Background: Prokineticin receptor 1 (PK1 or GPR73) is a receptor for the cysteine-rich secreted peptides prokineticin 1 and 2. RT-PCR detected GPR73 expression in the brain, testis, small intestine, ovary, thyroid, pituitary and salivary gland.
