Data Sheet

Background: MCHR1 or GPR24 is a receptor for melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH). MCH-1R is one of the two MCH receptors identified in human. The primary function of both MCH receptors, MCHR1 and MCHR2, is to regulate skin color. In addition, they also regulate food intake, energy expenditure, behavior and emotion. Blockade of MCHR1 could provide a viable approach for treatment of obesity and certain neurological disorders.

Application: Functional assays and binding assays

Figure Legend. Dose-dependent stimulation of calcium flux upon treatment with ligand, measured with MultiscreenTM Calcium 1.0 No Wash Assay Kit (Multispan MSCA01).
