(1) Research plan: All applicants are required to submit a Research Plan as instructed below (limited
to 450 words).
Describe which of the following three categories of Multispan’s products, technologies, or services best fits your research needs. In your description, include your rational, approach and potential impact of your research.
Category 1. Safety profiling award: Identify liability for up to 5 lead compounds in Multispan’s well-defined 32-GPCR assay panel implicated in central nervous system, cardiac, pulmonary and gastrointestinal safety/liability concerns.
Category 2. Assay development award: Develop a cell-based GPCR assay for your specific GPCR using Multispan’s MultiScreenTM Arrestin Sensor technology for HTS or evaluation of signaling bias of your compound lead.
Category 3. Assay-ready cell line award: Access well-validated MultiScreenTM assay-ready GPCR
division-arrested cells for up to 4 GPCRs to study your compound leads in multiple signaling
pathways.
(2) Current CV. The Research Plan shall be submitted with a current CV as a single PDF via the entry
form below.
(3) The Multispan Global GPCR Challenge is free to enter.
(4) Entry in the contest and the awarding of prizes shall be limited to Applicants who have a registered address in eligible countries. Multispan is a global company and invites participation from individuals from all over the world, except where participation is prohibited, licensed, or restricted by federal, state, provincial, or local laws, regulations, or agency/institutional policy.
(5) All submissions must be written in English.
(6) Entries are limited to one (1) entry per person and/or email address. Multiple entries will result in disqualification. Once an entry has been submitted, no further entries are allowed.
(7) At the end of the Competition period, three (3) winners will be selected by a panel consisting of at least two (2) judges deemed by Multispan to be qualified in the life sciences. The panel will comprise one (1) employee of Multispan and two (2) external, independent consultants employed by Multispan. The winners will be chosen based on, but not limited to: (i) technical assessment and (ii) scientific merit of the proposal.
